About Us

The Clinical Airway Skill Training In Emergency Room (castER) Malaysia was founded on the July 4th in 2017. The Inaugural programme was conducted in University Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Our committee consists of 10 members who are Attending, Physicians, Paramedic and Post-Graduate Year 1 to Year 4 residents In Emergency Medicine. We aim to provide clinicians with the current knowledge/practices, understanding and confidence in managing Emergency Airway in a triumphant and safe manner. Moreover, updating the core motor skills, tips and tricks, which are required when challenging airways are encountered. The castER Malaysia also serves as a platform and networking hub for nations, organizations and individuals, among the airway enthusiasts and experts.

It is also with great honor that castER Malaysia had participated and been acknowledged as one of the World Airway Groups/Organizations in the World Airway Management Meeting (WAMM) held in Amsterdam in 2019, the world most important airway event in the universe.

We sincerely hope this integrative, goal directed airway course will not only benefit the Emergency Room doctors, but also the paramedics and staff nurses; as well as those in the multidisciplinary fields like Critical Care, Anesthesiology, Pediatric, ENT and more. Hence to optimize Safe Emergency and Advanced Airway Management education, simulation, training and, ultimately promoting favorable patients’ clinical outcomes.
